The 5 Step Shaman Leveling Guide For World Of WarCraft
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on January 24th, 2011
Welcome to my guide about using 5 steps to increase your shaman leveling speed. I want to help you to get over the boring part of leveling up your character. In the end we all have spent more than enough time on leveling, right? Let’s just get over the leveling and start playing the juicy endgame content. I bet your friends and guild mates are looking forward playing the endgame content with you.
Alright! Here are my 5 bullet points to boost your shaman leveling power.
Step 1. If you are below level 60 I recommend you to chose the Enhancement leveling talent build. If you are above level 60 you can either use the Enhancement or the Elemental spec. The reason is that there’s no real caster equipment below level 60. Early on it’s just not effective using the Shaman Elemental leveling spec.
Step 2. Use Glyphs that support the Shaman spells you use all the time. It’s a bad choice to go for popular glyphs if you are not utilizing the supported abilities. Glyphs are only as effective as the spells and abilities enhanced by their effects.
Step 3. You do not need a blue gear to level effectively. That would only waste your gold since you need to change items every few levels anyway. I urge you to keep your gear equal to your character level but a green equipment is more than enough.
Step 4. Follow the perfect questing path by using a shaman leveling add-on. An in-game guide can tell you the fastest way to solve every quest in the game. It also shows you the most efficient order in which to do the quests. This way you do not have to make tough decision all the time. And more importantly: You can do many quests in one go without having to run back and forth.
Step five. Solo questing is the way to go - right now questing on your own the the fastest way to gather experience. I’m positive that by following my guide you will hit the lever cap as soon as possible!
Avoid This Trap When Speed Leveling Your WoW Shaman
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on September 19th, 2010
In the last time I often heard the question which Shaman build is the best for leveling a character 1-80. Many players want to know if they can level their Shaman with the Elemental spec.
Here’s my personal point of view: The Elemental spec is a no-go for any character below level 60. You shouldn’t even consider going after the Elemental tree until you exceed at least level 57.
Now you might be wondering why I the Elemental shamen build is not suited for lower level characters. The talent build is a caster build and requires both mana and spell damage to increase your leveling potential.
To increase your mana-pool, mana-regeneration, spell damage and critical hit chance you need a neat shaman gear with the right stats on every item. But in the old world you will hardly find any of those items. While many items have tons of strength and agility, some even crit rating, all the other needed attributes are missing more often than not. All in all there are very few items available that support casters sufficiently.
Sure, you can just visit an instance and try to collect the loot there. But you will spend a lot time there and your leveling speed decreases dramatically.
The Elemental tree becomes a great option after level 60 and more of the world opens up to you.
For every player below level 60 I highly recommend to spec the Enhancement Shaman build. It requires a lot less mana and you can still deal amazing damage with your melee skills – especially dual-wielding and elemental weapons!
Don’t make the mistake to choose a talent build that you will find absolutely not gear for. The Elemental fun can begin once you quickly get to level 60 using the Enhancement spec. You can have a lot of fun with the Elemental tree once you reach the high level areas and – of course – in the endgame content.
Until then – have fun with the Enhancement build!
Draenei Leveling Guide
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on August 29th, 2010
You’ll notice different starting zones for each race, therefore if you have interest in leveling a Draenei, you are going to want a specific Draenei leveling guide. You will merely need it until you reach about level twelve though; after that you already have choices to level your character in various zones and using general Alliance leveling guides.
In this Draenei leveling guide, I will reveal to you the way to level your toon in the quickest way possible: finishing quest after quest. Here is what you should do: go west and speak to Megelon to take “You Survived!”. Afterward, continue southwest and meet Proenitus to submit the quest and get “Replenishing the Healing Crystals”.
When you have done, proceed west to meet Botanist Taerix and accept “Volatile Mutations”. Kill enough Volatile Mutations and Vale Moths until eventually you complete both of the quests. Go back to Botanist Taerix to submit “Volatile Mutations” and get “What Must be Done…”. Also, remember to find Apprentice Vishael to get “Botanical Legwork” quest.
After you accept those quests, get back to Proenitus to turn in the completed quest and have “Urgent Delivery!”. Meet Zalduun inside the building and get “Rescue the Survivors!”. While you are at this, complete your class quest as well. Leave from the back entrance and speak to Vindicator Aldar and Technician Zhanaa to accept “Inoculation” and “Spare Parts”.
You’ve done with accepting quests for the moment; carry on west from the camp and find the “Draenei Survivor” and cast “Gift of Naaru” at the survivor. Keep on going west; you will discover a purple field where you’ll be able to obtain corrupted flowers and kill Mutated Root Lashers to accomplish your quests.
Once you gather every item necessary to complete your quests, return to the crash site and speak to Apprentice Vishael to submit “Botanical Legwork”. Also, meet up with Botanical Taerix to submit “What Must Be Done…” and take “Healing the Lake”. Go inside the building to find Zalduun and submit “Rescue the Survivors!”.
Through the brief Draenei leveling guide above, I’m sure you’ve got the picture on how the leveling process works. Needless to say, when you have just started and there are not much quest alternatives offered, all that you need to do is taking all of the offered quests and get it done simultaneously whenever you can. Check yet another instance of leveling a toon through quests at Horde leveling guide.
Then again, you can’t do that as soon as you are free to travel to other zones and get tons of quest choices. Why? You’ll want to decide on quests that can be completed at the same time, offer ample returns, and don’t take too much time to accomplish.
To do that, I suggest you grab yourself an optimized in-game leveling guide that not merely cover Draenei leveling guide, but also all other races as well. You’ll have the creator and his staff research the very best route for you so you can obtain the most benefits from the quests and level your Draenei toon in the quickest possible way. Read the facts of an excellent leveling guide at another look at Ultimate WoW Guide or check quick leveling guide to make certain you don’t spend your time on a trash leveling guide.
Mage Leveling Guide - Can You Level A Mage This Way?
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on July 2nd, 2010
Today I hear a lot of talk that is going on about using - or not using - a leveling guide. Endless debates are going on about which is the best mage leveling guide and if you should use one at all.
Some people think they actually destroy the gaming experience. They say that by using a leveling guide addon you simply rush through the world, ignoring the story and quest descriptions and events.
Others say they leveled properly with their first character and don’t need to see every corner of the world all over again. They just want to get to the end game with a new alt. These players don’t want to spend days and weeks on leveling another character.
I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.
I guess WoW would become a really strange game if all the players would use a mage leveling guide to rush through the world to get to the end game content.
They would kind of act like robots, ignoring everyone and everything. Kind of like commuters going to work in the morning.
But the fact that these add-ons aren’t banned by Blizzard shows that it’s not offensive to use them at all. In fact right now the game even rewards playing alone. You seldom need to find a group.
Let’s be honest. Would you rather want to quit WoW just because you are frustrated about the time it takes to level an alt? Or would you rather just get the leveling over with in the fastest and easiest way possible?
Guess what Blizzard wants. I think it’s a win-win situation. If you keep on playing both you and Blizzard win. You can enjoy playing with your friends and guild mates and Blizzard can make some profits.
Folks, just enjoy the game your way and stop getting irritated if somebody has a different opinion on your mage leveling guide. As long as we all play by the rules, we’ll get to enjoy the game.
3 Easy Ways To Fast Leveling In WoW
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on July 2nd, 2010
Unarguably the most frustrating part of WoW is leveling. For the first time it’s fun. You can explore Azeroth, meet many new NPCs and see the beauty of the world.
But you have to do it all over again, for days and weeks in a row, if you decide to start a new character.
This is when people get annoyed with the game.
Follow my fast leveling tactic and get over the boring part of leveling. It still takes some effort, but it’s the fastest, legal way to get to level 80.
Step One – Get A Good Leveling Spec
Scavenge forums and blogs. The community is huge and I’m sure you’ll find a good, proven build that you like and that works with the current version of the game.
Step Two – Practice Attack Patterns
Once you chose your talent build, you should constantly strive to find an attack rotation that kills quest mobs the quickest. This is essential for fast leveling.
Do not die.
If you do the math, you’ll be shocked how much gold and time is wasted just by making a mistake and dying. Prevent this. Practice playing your character and don’t take unnecessary risks.
Step Three – Skip Quests with a low ROI
Which quests am I talking about?
There are junk quests in the game - they take lots of time but give hardly any exp or gold. Just think of all the group quests. Other players often slow you down. If you want the best xp/hour rate and just ding 80 fast, I recommend you to skip those group quests.
But there are other quests that waste your time, too. And thouse are less obvious ones. If you want to avoid those time-sinks you can get yourself one of the many in-game leveling guides that are available for every class.
This is all you need to know for fast leveling in WoW. There are many other tricks and tweaks, such as gear and glyphs.
Enhancement Shaman Leveling - Best Leveling Tree?
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on June 20th, 2010
Leveling a shaman in World of WarCraft can be a long painful process or as easy as pie, depending on the Talent Tree you decide to play.
Inexperienced players often get their talent tree wrong and level slow because don’t use a Shaman leveling guide and don’t understand the talent trees.
The most important factors in leveling are raw damage, survivability and downtimes. The more damage your deal in short time, the faster you can kill any quest mob. Many players get frustrated and grind it out on mobs, but if you’re smart about it, you level much faster if you just do the damn quests.
Let me explain what the talent trees are all about - and which one is truely the best one for fast leveling:
The Elemental Tree
This Tree has decent DPS but once you start playing it, you’ll quickly realize that you have to take a lot of mana breaks. Now, all these breaks will cost you more time than the talent tree can save you! Also, many of the skills support group members. We want to focus all our available resources on us.
The Restoration Tree
A decent Tree for the end-game. Healing can certainly help with survivability. Nothing costs you as much time as dying. But you will deal hardly any damage and killing even the weakest mob can take a lot of time. Basically you will not use for Shaman leveling. This spec is used to be a healer for instances.
The Enhancement Tree
This is what we’re looking for. The Enhancement tree grants you lots of raw damage without high item requirements. The Enhancement spec is easy to use, which makes it perfect for shaman leveling.
In my opinion, Enhancement is the Tree of choice for Shaman leveling. The other Trees are great, too, but you should level using Enhancement and then switch over. If you are not using the Enhancement build right now you might need new gear and some practice. But trust me, the time you will save later is much more than worth it.
Now spec the Enhancement build and have fun leveling!
WoW Rogue Guide - Which Talents You Must Have In Your Build
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on June 13th, 2010
You enjoy playing a damage dealer but you don’t like the mage? The rogue is the perfect class for the player who enjoys brutal fighting like a ninja. This simple rogue guide will show you which talents you must have to succeed as a rogue.
First, let’s have a look at the rogue’s unique strengths.
· Great DPS: It’s the high DPS count that makes Rogues such perfect damage dealer.
· Stealth: The Rogue is able to sneak up on enemies and catch them with a suprise attack.
· Excellent at PvP: Rogues are fantastic when it comes to PvP. Just make sure you have the right gear especially the Resilience attribute, which will help you stay alive.
Great! But you also have to know about the weaknesses. Here goes:
· Target in PvP: Their dangerous reputation can make them a primary PvP target.
· Hit Rating Penalty: Dual-wielding comes with a price - rogues often miss their target.
Keep that in mind when playing a rogue.
Next, you should choose a talent build that suits your style. That’s important. Your rogue plays very differently depending on the tree you want to focus on.
In risk of being redundant, no rogue guide is complete with a quick recap of the talent trees. So again, here goes:
· Assassination: This is what most call the Mutilate build and I will explain it later on.
· Combat: We’ll take a look at the swords combat talent spec.
· Subtlety: Here we’ll look at the Subtlety build.
Okay, so what are some good builds?
Mutilate Build
A build for the sneaky player who loves poison and ninja action. Of course this build is only effective against mobs that can be poisoned or players that have no quick ability to cure themselves.
Here are some of the talents you need for this build:
· Mutilate: Instant attack with both weapons
· Hunger for Blood: More damage for a short period of time.
· Improved Poison: This is an essential talent.
· Master Poisoner: Increases critical chance of your attack by 3%
· Vile Poisoner: Increase damage of poison and Envenom ability
· Dual Wield Specialization: Another essential talent
Combat Swords Build
The core of this build is sinister strike. This build is great for dealing sustainably high DPS. Add the following talents and you’re good to go:
· Adrenaline Rush
· Killing Spree
· Improved Slice and Dice
· Blade Flurry
· Blade Twisting
· Surprise Attacks
Subtlety Build
This talent build gives you the unique ability to keep enemies in a stunlock. It’s great for PvP but not a good choice for PvE. Once again, here are the talents:
· Honor Among Thieves
· Premeditation
· Preparation
· Sinister Calling
· Initiative
· Elusiveness
To keep things simple, I won’t add more details into this rogue guide. This should be enough to get you going, or at least give you an idea of what kind of rogue you’d enjoy playing.
I won’t go any deeper in the WoW Rogue guide into leveling or the talents themselves but one thing to remember is that the talent builds lend themselves to your unique playing style so choose wisely.
The 3 Most Important Glyphs For A Fire Mage
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on June 11th, 2010
You want to become a powerful mage and dominate raids as well as battlefields? Then choose the following Glyphs to fully optimize your mage.
With glyphs, Blizzard introduces yet another concept with lots of options you have to get your head around. I’ll make it easy for you.
And of course we’re only going to look at the major Glyphs - the minor Glyphs are also of minor importance.
Oh, and one more thing…
If your fire mage isn’t at level 80 yet, these glyphs will give you a slight boost for your mage leveling.
First of all, let me recap the Glyphes that are good for fire mages and then I’ll tell you when to pick which one.
Sounds good?
Fireball – Level 15 – Major Glyph
Increases the critical strike chance of Fireball by 5%, but removes the damage over time effect.
Scorch – Level 20 – Major Glyph
Increases the damage of your Scorch spell by 20%
Living Bomb – Level 60 – Major Glyph
The periodic damage from your Living Bomb can now be critical strikes.
Molten Armor – Level 62 – Major Glyph
Your Molten Armor spell grants an additional 20% of your spirit as critical strike rating.
The order in which to get them:
Get Fireball as soon as you hit 15. You’re going to use Fireball all the time, so this Glyph becomes really effective. Fireball is the way to go and use it often.
When you hit 30, get Scorch.
One thing: If you want more in-depth analysis and reasoning, read a mage guide. This list is only a quick overview if you want to increase your DPS.
Now you’re well prepared to level straight to level 60. Now you get additional great glyphs to equip, but I recommend Molten Armor as a must-have.
Why?
It doesn’t only affect one of your spelld but has a global effect on your crit. rate. So, Molten Armor it is.
You can also grab Living Bomb, it’s a great Glyph, but you might as well leave it at that. You’re already a damage dealing monster and can devastate the battlegrounds and nuke other players.
To speed things up, grab a solid mage leveling guide. The sooner you can hit the arenas, the better. This is where the real fun starts for a mage!
The Mage Leveling Guide - How To Powerlevel Fast
Posted by Goldy in Gaming, Play Station 3 on May 2nd, 2010
Frustrated with your leveling progress? In this blog post you will discover what’s holding you back and what to do about it.
If you’re like me, you probably have already tried to boost your leveling speed with different leveling specs, glyphs and gear.
A good talent build can give you a nice boost if you master it, but you should think of it more as tweaking the engine of a car.
You can tune a weak engine as much as you want, the rewards will always be as tiny as the engine.
Why is that?
The reason is that tweaking uses your potential… so there has to be potential in the first place.
If you tweak a strong engine that is poorly used, you get much more out of it.
So, think of your ability to level quickly as an engine.
The question becomes, how can you switch from a weak one to a strong one?
WoW was designed by Blizzard to be most effective when you follow all the quest lines and do all the adventures. The reason why many players get frustrated with this and switch to silly tactics such as grinding for xp, is because they take on junk quests.
Junk quests take up a lot of your time and give you little to show for.
Two, three or four of them in a row and you’re grinding your teeth with frustration. And before you know it, you find yourself looking for a good mage guide online.
Now, what’s the alternative?
Fortunately there’s a fool-proof way to avoid doing junk quests. Once you get that dialed, questing becomes very easy and fast. As fast as leveling can get, of course.
Using an in-game mage leveling guide removes junk quests and it does all the decisions for you so you can focus on enjoying the game.
Fast leveling will allow you to catch up with your friends and guild-mates and allows you to enjoy the end came content.
