Nearly everyone in developed countries uses a camera almost everyday in some form ot another whether it is on the mobile phone, digital camera, speed camera or even a webcam. The real question to ask is where on earth would we be without this?

Memories

Although the camera has mostly been used on things like family trips it has been used in other ways, some you may not be aware of. Without the camera many families would have to struggle a lot to remember all of the great times they had on holiday together. The great thing about photos is that the older you get the more appealing they are as they remind you of all of the precious times. They are also a great way to remember the people that have passed on as they remind you of all of the good times you had.

Military

Without the invention of the camera the military and police force would not be as effective as it is now. A lot of the time the camera is used on choppers to track people down. Military use UAV to plan a lot of their battles as it shows things like positions of troops and the surronding landscape.

Satellite

Believe it or not satellite technology is based heavily on the camera so without these we would be stuffed as we wouldnt be able to see storms or spy on other nations.

One of the big problems comes if you are going away and you break the thing which is why you should look into getting photographic equipment insurance. General gadget insurance will cover you too but it could also be worth looking into laptop insurance if you have a laptop
